Grass-fed Lamb at Sojourner Sheep

Sheep eating from hand of shepherd

If you are unfamiliar with the health benefits of eating meats that are grass-fed, or raised on pasture with no supplementary grain, a good place to educate yourself is at Jo Robinson's site, eatwild.com.

Each year a limited number of grass-fed lambs are available through Sojourner Sheep. Past customers are always offered the opportunity to reserve first; after that, new reservations are taken in the order in which inquiries were made.  Lambs are usually ready to be picked up here in Florence starting in late December; the ready date changes a bit from year to year. Please contact me via the e-mail link below if you'd like me to contact you when I'm putting together my reservation list for the current year.  The most up-to-date information about the availability of meat appears  below under update.

The process of reserving a lamb may seem a little daunting.  Years ago, before I was able to stock my freezer with lamb from my own flock, I purchased one from another shepherd.  I had so many questions! If you do too, perhaps you'll find some answers here:   Frequently-Asked Questions About My Lamb.

UPDATE

This year's supply of lamb is sold out; please contact me if you would like to be placed on my e-mail list for communications about future availability.
